Cucumber is great for both inside and out
Cucumber is a great choice in our salad as it is full of vitamins and minerals. It is a cooling vegetable with a freshness, both in texture and taste. Some state that cucumber and melon are very alike, around 90 % water, very hydrating with very little calories. As cucumber has such a high water content it has been used for centuries as a hydrating remedy, and as this remedy is so simple but so beneficial, I wanted to share how to make your own easy cucumber face mask.
Creating your own face mask of cucumber is a great practice to avoid additional chemicals being applied to your body. Few foods are as cool as a cucumber and on a hot summer day, a cucumber face mask is so rejuvenating and soothing, it is all natural and is given our dry skin all the hydrating and valuable nutrients required for a healthy looking glowing face.
It is very simple and requires no additional time or supply.
It is so easy to make
Put the cucumber in your fridge for a few hours to let it cool down, cut the cucumber in slices, grate it or mash it. Apply and spread the paste gently and evenly on your clean face and neck, while keeping the area around the eyes clear.
Lie down and relax for about 30 minutes. Enjoy the coolness and soothing from the mask. Use those 30 minutes to open up your senses and simply just listen to our surroundings, feel your body from top to toe, and smell the wonderful freshness of the cucumber. If you have a cold, you can further chop some fresh mint or eucalyptus leaves and add it to the paste as it opens up the airways and rejuvenates even more. Hereafter wash it off with cold water and pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Apply a rich moisturizer to your face and neck to provide even more benefit to your face.
Enjoy life and take some time off for yourself
