Ginsend can provide you that extra energy?

Especially here in the winter month do we require that little extra energy boost and Ginseng can give you exactly that.

Ginseng is one of the most popular herbal medicines in the world and has been used as treatments in Asia and North America for centuries.

There are 11 different kinds of ginseng all belonging to the genus Panax family and the commonly known species are the american and the asian ginseng, both containing the main compound ginsenosides.

The difference between these two are mainly the strength of the species and the american ginseng is weaker than the asian ginseng, hence it can be used for children as well.

The word Panax means “heal” in Greek and only true ginseng comes from this family of the genus.

The Siberian ginseng, is not a “true” ginseng, as it does not originate from the Panax family and its main component is called eleutherosides. Eleutherosides are different types of adaptogens, but still have the same energy boosting properties.

Siberian ginseng is less potent than the Asian varieties, however all ginsengs are used in efforts to boost energy and enhance vitality, while increasing the body’s ability to handle stress, reduce fatigue and naturally support healthy adrenal function and hormone levels.

Ginseng is a slow-growing perennial plants with fleshy roots, belonging to the genus Panax of the family Araliaceae.

Making your own tincture use two parts cut root and one part high-proof flavorless alcohol like vodka. Let it sit for 24-30 hours, while you shake the bottle frequently. After the 24 hours, strain the roots from the liquid and change the content into a dark coloured bottle and stored in a cool place up to 2 years.
