Brushing teeth has for many decades been a hygienic and social necessity and is a daily activity we do with not much though, but if you are like me and at times have an allergic reaction to certain chemicals you start to look for alternative products.
- Toothpaste often contains Triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), artificial sweeteners, fluoride, and diethanolamine (DEA) which are examples of toothpaste ingredients that may be toxic
When you study the ingredients of a tube of toothpaste, you will notice that most brands contain fluoride, sodium lauryl sulfate, artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavors, and some other long words we can’t barely spell, not even pronounce, hence I wonder if that really can be that good for us.
If you can’t spell it or cant pronounce it, then it is properly not for consumption either.
Making your own natural toothpaste will first and foremost eliminate some of the daily chemicals we unconsciously are digesting every day and secondly with these recipes it will whitening your teeth and give you a brighter looking smile, the natural way.
Very simple recipe for a natural tooth paste whitening
- Baking soda is the key ingredient and uses coconut oil to texture, with few drops of lemon or peppermint for a fresh taste.
- Mix it all together in a clear and clean small hardy plastic bag and push the mixture into one corner.
- Cut a small corner off the bag and squeeze the paste out as needed.
You can also mash a handful of strawberries and leave it on your teeth for a couple of minutes as the acid removes stains on the teeth or as the other alternative, mix strawberries with baking soda for a stronger effect.
Have a super fantastic day and keep smiling
